I love using Tzatziki on rice and greek salad, when I was a kid I would mix those all together with chicken or pork skewers. It also makes a great alternative to processed dressings and dips which are only a source of empty calories. My Tzatziki also helps raw veggies go down a lot easier.
The greek yogurt adds more protein to this dip than traditional creamy dressings. This will help keep you satisfied.
High Protein Tzatziki:
3/4 cup plain greek yogurt (I like 2%, but 4% is extra creamy)
2 Tbsp olive oil
1 Tbsp lemon juice
1/2 tsp lemon zest
1 clove garlic minced
1/4 tsp salt
grated cucumber (squeeze extra water out by wringing it with a tea towel)
- Mix all ingredients together, keep in the fridge for up to a week.
